2. Design press brake tooling structure
Design based on the shape of the workpiece to be processed, the material and thickness of the metal plate, and the specific requirements of the customer. Designers need to apply professional knowledge and combine it with practical situations to design press brake tooling with reasonable structure and high precision. During the design process, attention will also be paid to the strength and stiffness of the press brake tooling to ensure that it is not easily deformed or damaged during use.
3. Selection the best materials
Material selection is crucial for the manufacturing of precision press brake tooling. Different raw materials have different physical and chemical properties, which directly affect the performance and service life of press brake tooling. 4. Sample manufacturing of press brake tooling
Firstly, according to the press brake tooling drawings designed by the designers based on the sheet metal workpieces, or according to the tool drawings provided by the customer or the samples sent, non-standard customization is carried out. A small number of samples are processed using CNC machine tools, and then the size parameters and performance of the samples are checked using testing tools to ensure they are qualified. Only after passing the inspection can mass production and processing be carried out.
5.Press brake tooling debugging and testing
After the completion of sample production, the QC use professional testing instruments and tools to check whether the size, various parameters, hardness, and performance of the sample are qualified;
And the designers will verify whether qualified sheet metal workpieces are processed based on the press brake tooling designed by the sheet metal workpieces. If the bent workpieces do not meet the customer's drawing requirements, the designers will modify the design drawings until qualified press brake tooling is produced and verified;
Only after passing the inspection can large-scale production and processing be carried out.
After the samples are tested and verified to be qualified, large-scale production and processing will begin using CNC machining lines to standardize, automate, and scale the production of tools with unified material standards and specifications, ensuring that the straightness, parallelism, perpendicularity, hardness, accuracy, and service life of each batch of molds remain consistent. Ensure that each batch of segmented molds can be exchanged and docked in groups, and the height difference and seam gap tolerance after splicing should be controlled within ≤ 0.02mm.
7. Laser Marking
All of our press brake tooling are laser marked, which includes tool code, length, height, angle, R value, V opening value, Max T/m and other important data.
